NCMA Welcomes New Member – Stepan

The NCMA Board of Directors has approved a membership application from Stepan.
Stepan is a global specialty and intermediate chemical manufacturer founded by Alfred C. Stepan Jr. in 1932. Today, Stepan is a $2 billion revenue producer of surfactants for consumer products such as laundry detergents, hard surface cleaners, disinfectants, shampoos and body wash, as well as customized solutions for the agricultural, oilfield and construction markets. Stepan is a supplier of polyurethane polyols used in the thermal insulation market and offers high purity esters, fats and oils for the pharmaceutical, medical nutrition and dietary supplement industries.
Stepan has a global research and development team of 230 scientists and and a manufacturing network of 20 production facilities across 11 countries. More than 70 percent of Stepan products offer energy-related savings, biorenewability or reduced environmental impact.
Elizabeth Meyer, EHS Leader in Stepan's Wilmington, NC facility will serve as NCMA's principal contact with the company.
